DialTale makes original audio stories you listen to by phone: horror, thrillers, sci-fi and more. We're looking for a fun, high-energy content creator to go out on the streets of DC and Arlington and talk with people, on camera, for our social media.
What you'll do
- Walk up to people on the street in DC and Arlington and get them talking, on camera.
- Work from a short script we provide, and run with it when a moment takes off.
- Shoot for DialTale's social media accounts. Recording equipment is provided.
Who we're looking for
- You're comfortable approaching strangers and making them feel at ease.
- Fun, upbeat and high energy.
- Acting skills are a major plus, and so is improv.
- You live in the DMV, close to Washington, DC or Arlington, VA, and can get to shoots in person.
The details
- Pay: $40 an hour, the same rate for everyone in this role. This is independent contractor work: you'll fill in a W-9, taxes aren't withheld and there are no benefits.
- Ongoing, booked shoot by shoot around your availability.
- Room to grow within our social media team.
- If we move forward with you, we'll send a short sample script to look over.
- You must be 18 or older, and you'll sign a contractor agreement and a release giving DialTale the rights to the recordings.
To apply: tell us in a few lines about a time you got a total stranger talking. A link to any video of you on camera is welcome but not required.
We welcome applicants of every background.
