I’m an independent artist looking for an experienced videographer and editor with a strong creative eye to help produce distinctive short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

I want to make visual art around my music—content with personality, interesting concepts, and a reason for people to stop and watch.
The role
I’m looking for someone who can help lead the creative process: listen to my songs, pitch concepts, plan shoots, film, and edit the finished videos. Someone who brings initiative, helps keep production moving, and makes filming fun and easier to do consistently.
I have a Trello board full of ideas we can build on, and I’d love to hear ideas I wouldn’t have thought of myself. I want a creative collaborator who connects with the music and is excited to help develop the visual identity of my artist project, B. Shay.
Location and schedule
You should be based near Bergen County, NJ, or willing to travel here. I’m thinking of meeting once or twice a month to start, with the potential for an ongoing working relationship.
I’m happy to send songs beforehand so you can see what inspires you. From there, you can propose concepts, your rate, the time needed for each shoot, and how many finished videos we can realistically create.

• An eye for music-driven storytelling, pacing, and visual style
• Confidence pitching ideas and helping direct me on camera
• Reliability, initiative, and enthusiasm for building something together
I work in video production myself, so I appreciate both the technical craft and the creative thinking behind a great video. Your portfolio, Instagram, and approach matter most to me. Please also share the camera, lighting, and other equipment you work with.
