Social Media Content Creator & Manager — Independent Contractor

About Us
Barber’s Foods and Farms is a Denver-based wholesale food distributor serving restaurants, retailers, schools, food banks, and DTC. We’re looking for a creative, dependable social media contractor who can help us tell our story, showcase our products, and reach new customers.
If you enjoy food, know how to create engaging content, and can turn ideas into consistent posts, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Create and publish content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop a monthly content calendar featuring products, specials, cooking ideas, company news, and behind-the-scenes stories.
- Write captions and design professional graphics that fit our brand.
- Edit photos and short videos into Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
- Adapt content for each platform and audience, including business buyers on LinkedIn.
- Work with the owner to gather ideas, photos, videos, and product information.
- Monitor comments and messages, respond to routine questions, and forward sales inquiries to our team.
- Track results and provide a simple monthly report with recommendations.
- Recommend opportunities to grow our audience and generate customer inquiries.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content for a business.
- Strong writing, graphic design, and short-form video editing skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar software.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.
- Good judgment about brand voice and accuracy.
- Experience with food, restaurants, agriculture, or business-to-business marketing is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally visit our Denver location to capture original content is preferred.
Contract Details
This is an ongoing, part-time independent contractor opportunity. We will agree on the scope of work, posting schedule, deliverables, and compensation before starting. Please propose a service package that explains what you can deliver each month.
