Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer – Bellevue, WAfor a 3 months Contract
Rate Range: $55.00 - $59.00 P/HR.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
What the candidate will actually do
- Write user guides, onboarding documentation, FAQs, SOP-style instructions, and release notes.
- Create more technical content such as API documentation, developer guides, and process-authoring documentation.
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to understand new features.
- Convert complicated technical workflows into simple step-by-step instructions.
- Establish documentation standards, templates, style guides, information architecture, and content governance.
- Verify technical documentation by testing procedures against the product.
- Maintain documentation alongside software releases and product changes.
- Structure documentation for global/localized audiences.
- Potentially work with Markdown, HTML, wikis, docs-as-code, Git, OpenAPI/Smithy, and CI/CD documentation workflows.
