Are you an experienced game designer with the demonstrated ability to lead a major RPG product from inception through publication? The Dungeons & Dragons studio is seeking a Senior Game Designer to work with our design team to conceptualize and build D&D RPG experiences, across both digital and for print releases. In this role, you’ll help craft the future of D&D by designing and writing meaningful portions of future products, leading projects, and assisting in commissioning and managing freelance writers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can design and write innovative and high-quality RPG material, and hit deadlines, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

Design substantial portions of D&D game materials and help generate new concepts.
Work with art directors to write art orders for D&D products.
Collaborate with editors, graphic designers, engineers, and producers to guide products through the entire production process.
Break down large design projects, assign tasks, and guide quality levels for other designers on your project teams, both staff and freelance.
Incorporate playtest feedback into every product.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and player preferences to ensure that your designs resonate with the RPG community.
Represent D&D in the larger RPG community through interviews, appearances, articles, etc.

What you’ll bring:

Experience designing RPG products with significant credits on beloved releases.
Demonstrable ability to create engaging and balanced game content that aligns with D&D core design ethos.
Curiosity about user experience design and how to adapt traditionally printed game content for digital experiences.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong long-form writing skills, both technical and narrative
Experience collaborating with and guiding both in-house and freelance designers
An eye for detail and a dedication to crafting outstanding gaming experiences for players worldwide.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

Starting Pay Range: $104,160
Pay Range End: $175,920
