Freelance Social Media Content Assistant
Sun Moon Studio is looking for a reliable, creative freelance social media assistant to help with consistent posting and short-form video content.
This is a paid contract position, approximately 4 hours per week at $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
The primary goal is not follower growth, vanity metrics, or chasing likes. The goal is to help attract local customers to the studio through consistent, relevant social media content.
Responsibilities may include:
- Editing short-form video for Reels, TikTok, and Facebook
- Creating posts from existing photos, video, and business information
- Writing or polishing captions
- Scheduling and publishing content consistently
- Repurposing content across platforms
- Helping organize content ideas
- Suggesting simple local-focused content ideas
- Paying attention to what content is actually generating inquiries, registrations, visits, or other customer activity
I’m looking for someone who:
- Understands Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and short-form video
- Knows the difference between content that gets attention and content that helps drive business
- Has a good eye for visual content
- Can work independently
- Communicates clearly
- Is reliable with deadlines
- Can adapt to an established small-business voice
- Can provide examples of previous social media or video work
Experience with CapCut, Canva, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook is a plus.
Some work can be done remotely, but occasional in-person time in Keyport, NJ may be helpful for filming or gathering content.
Schedule: Approximately 4 hours per week
Pay: $25–$30/hour

3-month trial period. Continuation will depend on measurable local customer results.
