Role Description: 118Group is looking for a candidate willing to jump into an existing website redesign project with one of our nonprofit clients and help lead both content strategy and general project management. At this point, the project has a defined sitemap and needs someone who can help move into the content planning and drafting stages for the defined pages.
This is a contract/freelance role for 10 hours per week for the next 8-12 weeks, or until the project nears completion. If successful, there is potential to extend this role to other proejcts/
Qualifications
- Nonprofit sector experience a must
- 3+ years of experience in content strategy, including full-site content development for website projects (not just blog/social content)
- Demonstrated project management experience — comfortable owning timelines, deliverables, and multiple simultaneous workstreams without close oversight
- Working knowledge of website UX/design best practices — able to make informed content and structural recommendations that account for usability, not just write copy in isolation
- Comfortable and experienced representing an agency directly to clients — this role includes leading client calls independently, not just producing deliverables behind the scenes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to navigate client relationships professionally under time pressure
- Experience with information architecture / sitemap development a strong plus
- Available to start within 1–2 weeks and commit to 10–15 hrs/week for 8–12 weeks
