Senior Video Program Manager, Content & Channels

Duties
- Own day-to-day execution of the Mid-market Social media channel and video content programs in alignment with the overall Social media strategy.
- Serve as the operational lead for channel management, community management, video production/program management, and performance reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams including Communications, Search, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, as well as external agencies, to bring video programs to life.
- Stay ahead of Social media and search trends, platform and LLM features, and the competitive/creator landscape, proactively bringing optimization recommendations as a feedback loop for video content.
Core Responsibilities
Channel Optimization
- Stay current on Social media algorithm changes, platform features such as Shorts, chapters, end screens, playlists, quizzes, and emerging channel and creative trends, translating them into concrete optimization recommendations.
- Continuously optimize playlist and individual video metadata, including titles, descriptions, tags, file names, chapters, captions, and transcripts, to strengthen SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), improving visibility and citation across G Search, Social media Search, and AI answer engines such as G AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.
- Maintain a consistent brand experience across the channel, playlists, and videos.
- Benchmark against competitor and category channels to identify channel and content opportunities.
- Own delivery against channel growth targets, including video views, subscribers, engagement, watch time, search views, and suggested views, and track progress against them.
- Continuously test new formats, including Shorts, Social media Live, and series, and run thumbnail A/B tests as a standing part of the optimization cadence.
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments daily, maintaining brand voice and escalating sensitive or product-related comments appropriately.
- Write and schedule Community tab posts, including polls, teasers, and updates, to sustain engagement and community-building.
- Track and report on community engagement performance, including comment sentiment, Community post performance, and related video engagement signals.
- Flag brand safety or moderation issues according to established governance standards and escalate as needed.
Performance Reporting & Insights
- Build and maintain monthly performance trackers covering channel- and video-level KPIs.
- Produce ad hoc content performance reports and audience insight shareouts for stakeholders.
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for content, community, and programming decisions.
Channel Management
- Manage end-to-end content uploading and publishing, including metadata optimization, thumbnail creation, and A/B testing.
- Maintain the editorial calendar and full video catalogue/library for all Social media content.
- Organize content into playlists and series structures that support discoverability and the viewer journey.
- Coordinate captioning, localization, and accessibility compliance, including closed captions, as needed.
Video Production & Program Management
- Generate and pitch video ideas aligned to content pillars, including brand videos, product explainers, product tutorials, business how-to videos, customer testimonials, data visualization videos, and new video category ideas.
- Manage programs end-to-end, including ideation, briefing, scripting, review cycles across product, legal, brand, and communications, post-production, content usage rights and licensing, publishing, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agency partners throughout the production process.
- Pilot new series concepts and use performance data to determine whether to continue, retool, or sunset a series.
- Partner closely with product teams to develop deep product knowledge and ensure explainer and tutorial content is technically accurate and useful.
- Coordinate with Search teams to identify and execute GEO and SEO opportunities.
- Build a distribution and amplification plan for each video or series, coordinating owned channels such as social, email, and blogs, as well as earned and paid channels, to extend reach beyond Social media.
- Repurpose and syndicate video content into other formats and channels, including social cutdowns, blog embeds, newsletters, and other company-owned properties.
- Lead a distribution kickoff ahead of each major launch to align stakeholders on channels, timing, and promotional tactics before publishing.
Skills
- Experience with communication and marketing programs for enterprise technology products and/or the B2B software industry.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, professional writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work cross-functionally to lead programs and drive team alignment.

Program Management

SEO/GEO
- Strong understanding of SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) principles.
- Ability to structure metadata, transcripts, and content to improve visibility and citation across traditional search engines and AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, and Gemini.
Product & Measurement Competency
- Deep product curiosity and understanding, with the ability to learn a company's product portfolio, product features, business objectives, target audiences, and Social media /creator competitive landscape and apply these insights to channel and video programs.
- Strong data literacy, with the ability to pull and interpret Social media Studio/Analytics data and translate findings into recommendations.
- Proactively identifies and adopts approved video, editing, SEO, and AI tools to enhance content quality and production efficiency.
- Integrates generative AI into workflows such as metadata generation, thumbnail concepting, and editing assistance to focus time on higher-value creative and strategic work.
Creative & Engagement
- Strong creative eye for visual storytelling, thumbnail design, and video packaging.
- Leverages storytelling techniques and formats across brand videos, explainers, tutorials, testimonials, and data visualization content using a strong audience-backed approach.
- Integrates market trends with deep audience understanding to inform content strategy and proactively engages with the community to uncover insights that shape future content.
- Excellent written communication skills for community responses, Community posts, and stakeholder reporting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing a Social media channel and/or brand video programs, ideally in a corporate, agency, or media environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide data-driven insights.
- Knowledge of current content marketing trends and GEO/SEO best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Confidence in taking strategic direction and managing stakeholder expectations and alignment.
- Demonstrated experience driving programming across multiple video formats, including brand videos, product explainers, product tutorials, business how-to content, customer testimonials, and data visualization videos.
- Hands-on experience with Social media Studio, Social media Analytics, and metadata/GEO/SEO optimization.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing video or web content for traditional SEO and emerging GEO/AI search visibility, including structuring transcripts, metadata, and entity naming for citation by AI answer engines.

- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating channel growth, video programs managed, or measurable Social media /video performance impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enterprise B2B experience.
- Working knowledge of SEO and discoverability tools such as Profound Search Console, BrightEdge, Semrush, and Trends.
- Experience in a regulated, fintech, or B2B/B2C software environment, including familiarity with legal and compliance review processes.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with brand and legal teams on content review and approval processes to ensure video content meets brand standards and compliance requirements before publishing.
- Experience with video creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, and CapCut.
- Comfortable stepping in for light hands-on production, including filming and basic editing, when agency or production support is unavailable.
