Company Description Scorched Studio is a guided wood-burning studio where people come in to burn their own designs onto wood and leather. We're a small, fast-growing business with a location in Orem and a new studio opening in Salt Lake City within the next couple of months.
Role Description
The Social Media & Marketing Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in Orem, UT. You'd be a team of one, working directly with the owner and owning everything under the design and marketing umbrella. That means planning, creating, and publishing content, running campaigns and ads, building partnerships, and helping shapeour brand. We want someone withcreative opinions who will help define our style and then carry it out, from the content calendar to custom illustrations for our website and marketing materials.
Option to combine with studio shifts. If you're interested, you can also work part of your hours as a studio associate. It's optional, but it's a great setup: you can do much of your marketing work during studio shifts, you'll have full access to the space, the products, and real customers to create content around, and it lets us offer more hours and better overall pay.
What you'll do
- Plan and publish content across our social platforms, including at least 2 feed posts/reels and 2 stories per week
- Use of trials reels to determine optimal format before posting
- Shoot and edit photo and video content in the studio
- Create original illustrations, graphics, and marketing materials
- Help set our creative direction, including color palette, fonts, and overall visual style
- Run and optimize Meta ad campaigns and manage our marketing budget
- Find and build relationships with influencers and other businesses for collabs and giveaways
- Respond to comments and DMs promptly and keep our community engaged
- Track performance and use what's working to guide what we do next
Who we're looking for
- A creative with their own ideas who wants real input on the brand, not just a list of tasks
- Design skills beyond Canva. Experience with tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or Figma is a big plus
- Some experience with photo and video editing (Lightroom, Premiere, CapCut, or similar)
- Familiarity with Meta Ads, or a strong willingness to learn it fast
- Comfortable reaching out to influencers and businesses and building those relationships
- Proactive and responsible. You pitch ideas, follow through, and treat the work like it's yours
- Original work that looks like a person made it. Low-effort or obviously AI-generated content isn't what we're after
- Hungry to learn every part of marketing and design in a small, fast-moving business
Details
- Pay: $18 to $24/hr DOE and "Option to combine with studio shifts"
- Bonuses tied to marketing results like bookings, sales, and growth
- Starts with a 2 month trial period.
