The Munroe Agency, a full-service advertising agency in Center City Philadelphia, is looking for a Freelance Social Media Creator & Community Manager with 1–4 years of experience to support one of our consumer retail clients. This role combines social content creation, graphic design and hands-on community management, so we’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable engaging with an audience as they are creating content for one.
This freelance position is approximately 15–20 hours per week, ideally hybrid in-office/remote, with occasional local travel for content shoots.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, trends and best practices
- Experience monitoring and managing social media channels, including responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
- Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to understand and maintain a brand’s voice when engaging with its social community
- Ability to identify opportunities for proactive engagement and help build meaningful connections with followers
- Experience designing engaging social content across multiple platforms
- Strong photography skills and content-capture best practices for social media
- Ability to concept and execute creative across social media, email, video, animation and other digital channels
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Sprout Social, After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar programs, as well as generative AI tools
- Ability to develop ideas and bring design, copy and content together into cohesive creative
- Strong production skills and ability to prepare final files according to established specifications and brand guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable participating in brainstorms, creative reviews and collaborative working sessions with Art Directors, Account Managers and other members of the creative team
- Strong time-management, critical-thinking, problem-solving and communication skills
