Visual Design Lead (UI/UX)
- Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Visual Design Lead (UI/UX) to support the re-engineering of enterprise applications within a leading waste management organization's operations portfolio. This role will focus on designing intuitive user experiences and modern interfaces for route planning, logistics, and operational workflows used by residential and commercial waste collection teams.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-centric digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and user needs.
- Design end-to-end user journeys, workflows, and navigation models.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Develop responsive user interfaces for web-based enterprise applications.
- Transform complex operational processes into intuitive user experiences.
- Lead design discussions and present solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
- Produce detailed design specifications and assets for development teams.
- Partner with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Drive UX best practices, accessibility, usability, and design consistency across applications.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or Visual Design.
- Strong expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.
- Experience designing enterprise applications and workflow-driven systems.
- Strong understanding of:

- Responsive Design
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into design solutions.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
- Experience collaborating closely with front-end development teams.
- Background in logistics, transportation, fleet management, route optimization, utilities, or operational systems.
- Consulting or client-services experience is highly preferred.
