Sports Betting Analysis Partner — Social Media & Outreach
I built Props Index, a data pipeline that tracks NFL player props against what actually happens to show week over week over/under values, the biggest surprises in hits and misses, and grades Vegas on how accurate their lines really are. Full transparency: this isn't a business yet. No revenue, no funding, just a project I built because I find it genuinely interesting, run entirely in my spare time around a full-time engineering job.
The data side is solid, weekly real analysis nobody else is doing (historic player against line data). What it's missing is distribution, and that's the gap I want to fill.
What I'm looking for:
Someone to take the content I generate each week (graphics, stat breakdowns, weekly leaderboards) to the next level and actually get it in front of people. This can be done via posting across Instagram and X, engaging in relevant communities, building a real following from scratch. Longer term, potentially on-camera content if that's something you'd want to do.
Time ask: 5-10 hours a week. Posting 3-4 times weekly, some outreach/engagement on top of that.
What this is:
- Unpaid. This is a hobby project for both of us right now, not a job with a paycheck.
- Real ownership. You'd be running the actual growth strategy for real accounts
- Something concrete to show for it. If we grow this, that's a genuine result you built, a strong line for a resume or portfolio in marketing, communications, or sports media, not a vague "helped with social media" bullet point.
Who I'm hoping to find:
Someone who loves football and sports betting, not just social media and marketing. Genuinely following the lines, having opinions about Sunday's slate. Comfortable with Instagram/X strategy, or wanting to learn it hands-on. A college student looking for real experience to build on is a great fit, but not a requirement.
If you already post takes, run a fan account, or just can't stop talking sports in your group chat, that's a better sign than any resume line. Send me an example of something you've made or posted, even informally, along with why this sounds interesting to you.
