About Us:
Long Island RFP is a New York-based company that helps businesses win government contracts. We have over 60 years of combined experience in the industry and know the nuances of RFP responses, proposal writing, and government contracting. We are leaders with proven experience with government RFP/proposal writing nationwide and work with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Job Description:
We are looking for remote freelance/1099 independent contractor Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) writers with FEE FOR SERVICE EXPERIENCE ONLY (FFS), located within the United States to help with developing high-quality proposal-ready narratives in response to Pharmacy Benefits Management RFPs. Applications will not be considered if you do not have specific FEE FOR SERVICE experience.
Responsibilities:
The individual in this role is responsible for creating, revising, and editing content that supports a client's response to PBM RFPs. They must ensure that the content complies with each RFP and accurately translates technical knowledge and requirements into clear, concise communications that emphasize business value to clients.
In addition to content creation, the individual must prepare for and participate in meetings, subject matter expert interviews, reviews, and progress updates. They must communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) in all aspects of the role.
To ensure consistent editing and compliance with RFP standards, brand, style, tone, and commonly used terms, the individual must support the editor(s). They must also adhere to deadlines and deliverables when high-volume needs arise.
Collaboration with pursuit and proposal teams is essential to position client products as value-adding, problem-solving, and cost-mitigating solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
Finally, the individual must manage weekly hours by project and weekly budget tracking to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Skills:
The ideal candidate for the position must possess exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Depending on the deadlines for RFP submissions, some work during evenings and weekends may be required. The candidate should have hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of the components of Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM). Additionally, proficiency in the application of RFP response principles, such as the Shipley model, is necessary. The candidate should demonstrate a wide range of problem-solving skills, both proactive and reactive. They should be committed to achieving 100% quality in all deliverables, never settling for the status quo. Some travel to client sites may be necessary, but it will be limited.
