Interlace Digital is a Buffalo-based remote eCommerce agency helping ambitious DTC founders
scale their Shopify revenue through paid media, creative strategy, and Shopify optimization. We're
looking for a Performance Creative Specialist to design and edit high-performing Meta ad
creative across our portfolio of eCommerce clients. This starts as a contract role at approximately
15-20 hours per week, with the intent to grow into a full-time position as scope expands.
Responsibilities
- Design and edit static and video ad creative for Meta campaigns across multiple eCommerce clients
- Report to and work closely with our Creative Lead to translate performance data and briefs into finished ad creative
- Use performance data (CTR, hook rate, hold rate, CPA, ROAS) to inform creative decisions, not just aesthetics
- Build creative test plans that isolate variables (hook, format, visual style, offer) to identify what's actually driving performance
- Edit raw UGC and founder-shot footage into scroll-stopping video ads
- Design static ads, carousels, and catalog creative that align with each brand's identity
- Use AI tools (we're a Claude-based org) to speed up creative production, whether that's ideation, copy variations, asset generation, or editing workflows
- Collaborate with the creative strategy and paid media team to turn ad performance insights into new creative concepts
- Maintain a fast, organized production pipeline across concurrent client accounts
Qualifications
- Required: 2+ years designing and/or editing Meta ad creative in-house at an eCommerce/DTC brand or at an agency serving eCommerce clients
- Proficient in tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, Figma, Canva, or Photoshop
- Comfortable working under a creative lead's direction and iterating based on feedback
- Strong portfolio of both static and video ad work, not just organic social or brand content
- Comfortable reading ad account data (Meta Ads Manager) and using creative analytics tools like Atria/Motion/Foreplay to research competitor creative and inform direction
- Understands direct-response principles: hooks, pattern interrupts, clear CTAs, offer-led design
- Comfortable testing and adopting AI tools to improve creative output and turnaround time
- Self-directed and comfortable managing multiple client briefs at once
- Bonus: experience working with UGC creators or briefing creator content
