Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Programmer 5 to design and develop modern, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for complex enterprise applications.
The consultant will work closely with business users, project managers, business analysts, and development teams in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with user research, information architecture, prototyping, design systems, accessibility, and collaboration with frontend developers.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze UI/UX requirements from business users and stakeholders.
- Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and intuitive user interfaces for complex business workflows.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design validation.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to develop effective design solutions.
- Create and maintain reusable Design System libraries, component libraries, and design patterns.
- Establish effective UI handoff processes for development teams.
- Ensure designs follow UX best practices, accessibility standards, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to support UI implementation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
- Identify opportunities for product and user-experience improvements.
- Lead design discussions, creative sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple design initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other technical resources.
- Prepare design documentation and communicate concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience designing user-centered interfaces for workflow-heavy applications.
- 8+ years of experience with information architecture, intuitive navigation, and multi-step workflows.
- 8+ years of experience working within Agile development environments.
- 5+ years of experience working with design systems, component libraries, reusable patterns, and visual standards.
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering SaaS, enterprise, or complex digital products.
- 5+ years of experience with modern design/prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure, Sketch, or similar.
- Experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and design iteration.
- Experience designing accessible interfaces aligned with WCAG and Section 508 requirements.
- Understanding of secure UX design practices and accessibility standards.
- Experience collaborating with frontend developers on HTML/CSS implementation details.
- Familiarity with frontend and backend development environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
- UI/UX certification or degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience creating enterprise design systems and reusable UI component libraries.
- Experience working on complex, workflow-driven applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design, research, prototyping, and design-system work.
