Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role is a hourly remote position based with options for some work in the office in Armonk, NY. This role involves editing video content for a variety of marketing campaigns, including promotional videos, social media content, and branded storytelling pieces. Responsibilities include color grading, sound syncing, incorporating motion graphics and on-screen text, and preparing final deliverables in appropriate formats for different platforms. The role also includes maintaining organized project files, meeting deadlines, and contributing creative ideas to improve video concepts and enhance overall campaign impact.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with demonstrated experience assembling and refining impactful visual stories.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, high-quality visuals across diverse projects.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to support branding, messaging, and viewer engagement.
- Experience with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Solid understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, export settings, and best practices for social, web, and broadcast video.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative creative development.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in film, multimedia, communications, or a related field; agency experience is a plus.
