Senior Apparel Designer Fleece, Knits & Sportswear- Retail (Onsite New York, NY)
We are seeking a Senior Apparel Designer Fleece, Knits & Sportswear- for one of our global retail clients. The focus of the role is to have strong sketching ability, and the technical expertise to independently lead fittings and develop tech packs. Typically reports to the Design Director.
This is a 40-hour per week, 4-month contract (possible extension), an onsite role in New York, NY
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends.
- Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs.
- Analyzes fashion trends. Partners with sourcing and materials development.
- May provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with sketching, and the technical expertise to independently lead fittings and develop tech packs
- The ideal candidate should also have design experience in fleece, knits, sport, and swimwear.
- MUST have the candidate's portfolio.
- Experience in creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends.
- Experience in producing sketches and making seasonal presentations of proposed designs. Analyzes fashion trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.

Compensation: $55/hr. - $60/hr.
