Are you a seasoned social media, marketing, or communications professional ready to use your expertise for global impact? The African Esophageal Cancer Consortium Foundation (AfrECC) is looking for a strategic, creative, and mission-driven volunteer to help expand our global voice and connect with audiences across countries, sectors, and communities.
In this senior volunteer role, you will work closely with Board members, clinicians, researchers, and international partners to shape and share stories that highlight AfrECC’s clinical work, research, education, partnerships, and growing global impact.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least 5 years of experience reaching and engaging large audiences—especially a senior professional who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful global health mission.
What you’ll do
Develop and schedule compelling content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X
Translate research, clinical work, events, and impact stories into clear, engaging messages for global audiences
Collaborate with an international team to identify stories, milestones, and opportunities to amplify AfrECC’s mission
Support campaigns, monitor engagement, and help strengthen AfrECC’s digital presence over time
Who we’re looking for
A strong storyteller with excellent writing, messaging, and audience engagement skills
At least 5 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, digital strategy, or audience growth
Demonstrated ability to reach, engage, and grow large or global audiences across digital platforms
A strategic, proactive, and organized professional who can work independently and bring ideas forward
Interest in global health, healthcare, cancer awareness, or nonprofit communications is a strong plus
Time commitment: ~3–5 hours/week (flexible)
