Referment is working with a global investment firm seeking an associate to turn sophisticated hedge fund, portfolio, and market analysis into clear material for institutional investors. Sitting within a thought-leadership function, the role works closely with investor relations, communications, research, and investment professionals.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who combines investment fluency with excellent editorial judgment. You will help establish a developing portfolio-strategy content capability, shape how complex ideas are communicated, and create useful materials that support investor conversations over time.
The Role
- Gather portfolio, strategy, performance, and market insights from investment, research, investor-relations, and communications stakeholders.
- Translate complex investment concepts into accurate, accessible, client-ready content without losing important analytical nuance.
- Develop and maintain strategy summaries, educational materials, and other evergreen resources used in investor discussions.
- Manage the drafting, review, and approval of longer-form work such as white papers, market analysis, presentations, and speaking materials.
- Respond to bespoke content needs while balancing recurring deliverables and longer-term projects.
- Help build practical workflows and supporting infrastructure so the function can handle a growing volume of work efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Two to five years of relevant experience producing alternative-investment or financial-markets content.
- A strong foundation in investment research, investor relations, product-specialist work, or another role requiring direct engagement with portfolio and market concepts.
- Excellent research, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with evidence of producing polished work for a demanding external audience.
- Sound judgment, close attention to accuracy, and the ability to manage several priorities and review processes concurrently.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the interpersonal skills to establish productive relationships across specialist teams.
Desirable Experience
Experience improving content-production processes through technology would be useful, particularly where it has made research, drafting, review, or knowledge management more effective.
This could suit an investment writer, hedge fund product specialist, investor-relations content professional, or investment researcher who enjoys making complex portfolio ideas useful to clients.
