About Venture Music
Venture Music is a Nashville-based artist development agency. We partner with artists, managers, and labels to build sustainable careers through strategy, creative, and execution across every digital channel. Our client roster spans emerging independent artists to established names like Zach Top and Margo Price.
We take an integrated approach. Social, content, paid media, email, branding, and fan journey all work together under one roof, and every strategy starts with the artist's identity and goals. We're a career-building agency, and we're looking for people who think that way too.
The Role
We're hiring a Social Media Marketing Manager to join our Social Team, reporting to our Social Director. You'll own the social strategy and day-to-day management of 8 to 10 artist clients at a time, working within Venture's pod model alongside account leads, media leads, and creative support.
Your work will span strategy, content direction, copywriting, community engagement, and brand development. You'll help shape how artists show up online, making sure their social presence is consistent, intentional, and true to who they are as artists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms for a roster of artist clients
- Build and maintain posting schedules, ensuring consistent, on-brand content across all accounts
- Write copy for social posts, ads, and email campaigns, adapting voice and tone across multiple artist brands
- Engage directly with fan communities on behalf of artists, building real relationships and ongoing conversation
- Brainstorm and pitch creative campaign ideas that connect artists with fans in fresh ways
- Contribute to artist brand development, helping establish and maintain a consistent visual and verbal identity across platforms
- Collaborate with artists and internal team members during campaign planning
- Occasionally assist with coordinating content shoots
Who You Are
- You have at least 2 years of full-time professional experience managing social media for multiple artists at the same time, whether at a management company, marketing agency, label, or as an established freelancer
- You've run social accounts in a professional capacity, meaning you were responsible for strategy, content planning, copywriting, and community engagement for artists other than yourself
- You have strong instincts for what works on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- You're an excellent writer who can shift voice naturally across different artist brands
- You're highly organized and comfortable managing multiple campaigns with overlapping timelines. Familiarity with Asana, Notion, Google Workspace, and Dropbox is a plus
- You're a creative thinker with big ideas who also follows through on the details
- You build trust and rapport easily. You'll be working directly with artists, and that relationship matters.
- You're curious. You pay attention to what's happening in social media, music, and fan culture, and you bring that awareness into your work.
This Role is NOT:
- A content production or videography role. If your background is primarily in video production, editing, or photography, this is not the right fit. This is a social media strategy and management position.
- An entry-level position. We're looking for someone with full-time professional experience managing artist social accounts. Internships, personal projects, and managing your own artist page do not meet this requirement.
- A remote position. While this role has hybrid flexibility, it is Nashville-specific.
