Company Description
Oliver Wood Media is a Phoenix-based social media agency serving real estate agents and service businesses. The agency specializes in short-form video content designed to capture attention and drive measurable results. Campaigns run on a streamlined monthly system that includes strategy, research, scripting, filming, editing, and performance reporting. By pairing engaging content with targeted Google and Meta advertising, Oliver Wood Media focuses on turning views into qualified leads and customers.
Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ, paying $17 to $23 per hour depending on experience. Expect approximately 10 to 12 hours per week, with a schedule set around your availability. You will start with a few accounts and take on more of our client roster as you get up to speed.
The Social Media Manager owns the short-form content pipeline for our real estate and service business clients. That includes researching each client's market and audience, ideating content angles and hooks, scripting videos, editing footage into finished short-form pieces, and managing the content calendar from concept through publishing.
You will review research, ideas, scripts, and finished edits directly with the founder before anything goes live, so expect regular feedback, a clear standard to work toward, and real ownership of the work you produce. This role also involves tracking performance across platforms, staying current with short-form trends, and bringing ideas that improve results for our clients.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience creating social media content, especially short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
Proficiency with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong writing and scripting skills, with the ability to write in a clear, professional voice for different client brands.
Research instincts: comfortable digging into a client's market, competitors, and audience to find content angles that land.
Organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple client accounts and content calendars.
Comfort receiving direct feedback and applying it quickly.
Familiarity with platform analytics and using performance data to inform the next round of content.
Relevant experience in social media management or content creation matters more than a degree, though a background in Marketing or Communications is a plus.
