About VanCraftAt VanCraft, we’re not just building vans. We’re building freedom on wheels, tools for exploration, for connection, and for chasing the kind of moments you remember forever.
Now we’re looking for someone to help us share that story.
We need a Social Media & Content Specialist who can bring our brand to life through social media, community engagement, collaborative storytelling, and strong video content. This person will manage our social presence, build relationships with customers and industry partners, and create photo and video content that captures what VanCraft is all about.
Social media, community, and content strategy are at the center of this role. Strong video shooting and editing skills are also essential. You should be comfortable taking a video from initial idea through filming, editing, and publishing, while understanding how it fits into a larger content and community strategy.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll help shape how VanCraft shows up online, how we engage with our community, and how we tell our story through photo, video, and collaborative content.
- Create Social-First Content: Turn product updates, customer stories, travel experiences, industry trends, and everyday moments into content that feels useful, entertaining, authentic, and worth sharing. Our brand stands apart in a crowded space, our content should reflect that.
- Manage Our Social Channels: Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant platforms. Maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting content to the format and audience of each channel.
- Build and Engage Our Community: Respond to comments, messages, tags, and mentions in a timely and authentic way. Start conversations, recognize loyal customers and fans, and help make VanCraft’s social channels feel like a genuine community. Growing engagement in our communities will be key to success in this role.
- Develop Collaborative Content: Identify and build relationships with complementary brands, collaborators, customers, destinations, and organizations in our industry. Pitch and coordinate partnerships, shared campaigns, product features, giveaways, trips, and other collaborative content opportunities.
- Create Photo and Video Content: Plan, shoot, and edit content for social media, campaigns, product launches, events, customer stories, and brand partnerships. Make the vans the center of our brand story. This will include short-form videos, van walkthroughs, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, travel stories, and occasional longer-form videos.
- Own the Production Process: Take content from concept through delivery by developing ideas, creating shot lists, capturing footage, editing, selecting music, adding graphics or captions, and preparing final assets for each platform. The focus of this content will be social and some ad creative.
- Capture Content in the Field: Travel locally and occasionally beyond our home market to film vans, road trips, events, customers, collaborators, and real-world experiences. You should be comfortable working independently or as part of a small production team.
- Manage the Content Calendar: Work with the marketing and sales teams to plan content around launches, events, promotions, seasonal moments, customer needs, and broader business goals.
- Repurpose Content Across Channels: Turn a single shoot or story into multiple useful assets, including social clips, longer videos, photos, stories, reels, posts, thumbnails, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Source Community Content: Encourage customers and partners to share their experiences, secure permission to reuse content, organize assets, and turn user-generated content into compelling brand stories. Working with collaborators to leverage their audiences and ensure their creative deliverables meet our brand expectations.
- Track Performance and Learn: Monitor engagement, reach, audience growth, watch time, and content performance. Use those insights to improve future content and identify new opportunities.
- Jump In Where Needed: Whether it’s capturing footage at an event, photographing a new van, coordinating with a partner, creating a simple graphic, loading gear for a trip, or helping tell a customer’s story, you’re comfortable wearing a few hats. We’re a small, tight-knit crew, and sometimes you’ll be asked to load up a van, cooks some s’mores over a fire, drive a van to a random location, or other tasks as they arrive.
