Pay Rate: $20-$24/hour, depending on experience
About the Opportunity
Russell Tobin is supporting a leading global technology company in hiring a Content Developer to join its Customer Care organization.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented content professional who enjoys transforming complex or changing information into clear, accurate, and easy-to-follow procedures and knowledge content.
The Content Developer will create, edit, maintain, and publish internal content used by customer-care teams. The role will also support business updates and cross-functional projects, ensuring that procedures remain accurate, relevant, consistent, and ready when new processes or initiatives launch.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, comfortable working with ambiguity, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, update, and maintain internal procedures, knowledge-base content, and process documentation.
Review business and process changes to determine which existing content needs to be updated, created, or retired.
Ensure procedures are accurate, clear, consistent, and easy to understand.
Review content for adherence to established writing and style guidelines.
Identify and resolve conflicting, outdated, or duplicate information.
Partner with subject matter experts, business owners, project teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to validate content.
Support projects by assessing the impact of business changes on existing procedures and documentation.
Track content-related deliverables, milestones, and project progress.
Partner with learning and training teams to ensure procedures and supporting content are available when needed for training and business launches.
Manage the end-to-end content lifecycle, including writing, editing, reviewing, and publishing.
Support multiple projects and business update requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Occasionally develop or update content for internal customer-care tools and resources.
Work effectively with global and virtual teams across different functions and time zones.
Navigate ambiguity by proactively identifying the appropriate stakeholders and gathering the information needed to move work forward.
Handle confidential and business-sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
Experience creating and maintaining content, knowledge-base articles, procedures, SOPs, or process documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to communicate information clearly and without ambiguity.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and organize large volumes of information and determine what information is relevant to a project or business request.
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Ability to adapt to changing processes, technologies, requirements, and business priorities.
Experience working with global and/or virtual teams.
Ability to work effectively in situations where requirements or information may be incomplete or changing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in knowledge management, technical writing, content operations, corporate communications, or documentation.
Experience creating or maintaining knowledge-base or internal support content.
Experience with content management systems or documentation platforms.
Experience supporting customer service, customer care, technical support, or operations teams.
Project management or workflow management experience.
Experience working with style guides, content standards, or documentation governance.
