Adecco Creative is partnering with a Global Luxury Fashion house to recruit for a Sr. Designer, Global Visual Experience role. This position will be hybrid in Hudson Yards and ongoing CONTRACT.
Position summary
The Senior Designer, Global Visual Experience supports the creation and execution of retail and experiential environments that bring the brand to life. This role partners closely with the Manager, Global Visual Experience to develop and execute concepts for windows, showrooms, pop-ups, events, wholesale environments, and other customer-facing experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong conceptual thinking, environmental design expertise, exceptional visual storytelling, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Creative development:
- Develop innovative concepts for global retail experiences and brand activations.
- Translate brand and marketing strategies into compelling physical experiences.
- Create presentations, mood boards, storytelling narratives, renderings, and 3D visualizations.
Design and execution:
- Lead design development for windows, showrooms, pop-ups, events, and retail installations.
- Produce clear design packages and coordinate production-ready documentation.
- Partner with vendors and production teams to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to design intent.
Project Leadership:
- Manage multiple projects, timelines, reviews, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Present concepts and design solutions to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Resolve design challenges and communicate decisions clearly.
Team Collaboration:
- Mentor junior and production design resources.
- Support design critiques, working sessions, and quality reviews.
- Partner with the Manager on strategic initiatives, global guidelines, and team standards.
Qualifications
- Approximately 7+ years of experience in environmental, experiential, retail, exhibition, or visual merchandising design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and executed work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant 3D/design tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or comparable platforms.
- Strong presentation, storytelling, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience partnering with production vendors and fabrication teams.
- Ability to lead projects independently while working effectively within a collaborative team.
- Strong hand sketching skills are preferred.
