Social Media Coordinator, Entry Level
This role will be on-site in New Hyde Park, NY/Nassau County.
The Opportunity
AGS Logistics is a fast-growing freight forwarding company. Our operations are strong, but our social media presence is just getting started. That is where you come in.
This is a true ground floor role. You will help take a company with very little social media presence today and build it into a real brand online. Your platform ideas, content instincts, and creativity will directly shape how AGS shows up to the world, not fit into an existing playbook.
What You Will Do
- Create and manage original content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (Twitter)
- Build a content calendar and pitch fresh ideas and formats suited to each platform
- Capture photo and video content at our facilities and events, including warehouses, terminals, and driver and team stories
- Own day to day posting, community engagement, and responses to comments and messages
- Track performance across platforms and report out on growth and what is working
- Partner with Sales, Client Service, HR, and leadership to source content and tell the AGS story from every part of the business
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging content formats
What You Bring
- Prior business or professional experience is required (internship or full time). This role needs someone who has operated in a business setting, not only managed a personal account
- Hands on familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, with real opinions on what would work for each
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Comfort with basic content or video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express
- Logistics, freight, transportation, or supply chain experience or interest is a plus, though not required
- A self-starter mindset and comfort building a function largely from scratch
- Confidence to reach out to Sales, Client Service, Operations, HR, and leadership across the company from day 1. Building relationships with these teams is key to success in this role.
