Our client is a trusted IT infrastructure and managed services provider serving enterprise customers worldwide. Based out of New York City, they are looking to hire a Technical Writer on a Contract basis.
Contract Duration: 1 Year Contract (Potential for extension or conversion)
Required Skills & Experience
· Experience with technical writing and technical documentation in an engineering, IT, cybersecurity, or similar technical environment.
· Knowledge of threat modeling, risk identification, risk management, and mitigation processes.
· Experience developing or maintaining security and compliance documentation.
· Strong project documentation, organization, and issue-tracking skills.
· Ability to coordinate across technical teams and effectively document complex technical discussions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable documentation.
Daily Responsibilities
· Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, operational guides, procedures, and security documentation.
· Support threat modeling and risk identification activities, documenting potential security risks, vulnerabilities, and recommended mitigation strategies.
· Partner with engineering and security teams to track risks and mitigation efforts through resolution.
· Manage project and engineering documentation, ensuring information is accurate, organized, and accessible to key stakeholders.
· Coordinate and document engineering meetings, including action items, decisions, risks, and follow-up activities.
· Track, document, and assist with the resolution of CORE (Critical Operations, Risk, and Engineering) issues.
· Support security and compliance initiatives by maintaining documentation and evidence required for internal reviews and assessments.
· Collaborate with engineering, security, risk, compliance, and operational stakeholders to ensure issues and documentation remain current.
