We’re hiring at Skipit.
Skipit is a browser extension that lets people skip triggering scenes or read a short summary as they watch, so they can finish the movie instead of turning it off. Turning it off shouldn’t be the only option, which is why I built this.
I’m looking for a Content Associate (Video) for the fall.
What it is
- Film 4 to 5 short-form videos a week for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts
- Write your own hooks, scripts and captions
- Batch your shoots, bring your own ideas, watch them go live within days
- You report to me directly. There is no layer in between.
What I need from you
- You have filmed short-form video before and can send me the work. This is the one thing I won’t train.
- You know what is happening on the internet right now, not what worked last year
- You have grown something. Any account, any size, as long as you can tell me the actual numbers.
- Your own setup: a phone that shoots clean, plus whatever lighting and audio you use
Terms, plainly
- $250 per month, contract, September through December
- 6 to 8 hours a week, built around your schedule
- US based, working as a 1099 contractor
- A 90 day checkpoint against two numbers we agree on before you start. If it’s working, we talk about what a real role looks like from there.
This is a small team and an early product. Your work goes live to a real audience, not into a deck.
To apply: email emily@skipit.tech with the subject line “Video Associate, [your name]” and include:
1. Links to 2 to 3 short-form videos you filmed yourself
2. The handle of the account you’re proudest of, plus its follower count, your typical views per video, and what those numbers were when you started. Dates, please.
3. One thing you’d post for Skipit this week, and why that
4. Two sentences on why this one
No cover letter, no resume needed. Links beat attachments.
