Position Summary
We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and creative Social Media Coordinator to take ownership of our firm’s social media presence across both U.S. and Chinese platforms. This is not just a content-posting role, you will be responsible for building the strategy, driving audience growth, and ultimately converting followers into clients. You will work directly with our Managing Partner, who serves as the primary on-camera talent, to produce high-quality, engaging video content at a pace of four posts per week across platforms including Rednote, Douyin, TikTok, Instagram, WeChat Channels, YouTube, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning - Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to each platform, with a focus on growing our Chinese-speaking audience and generating leads
- Content Ideation - Brainstorm and pitch timely, relevant, and engaging topics that resonate with entrepreneurs and business clients in the U.S.-China corridor
- Content Production - Participate in full-cycle video production, including filming, directing, and light editing; coordinate with a part-time editor to ensure a steady 4-post-per-week schedule
- Growth & Engagement - Research and implement best practices for algorithm optimization, audience growth, and promotional tactics; monitor analytics and adjust strategy accordingly
- Lead Generation - Track and analyze how social media activity translates into client inquiries and business opportunities; propose data-driven improvements
- Trend Monitoring - Stay on top of legal industry trends, social media updates, and cultural moments to keep content fresh and relevant
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film/Video Production, Journalism, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, or digital marketing (internships included)
- Hands-on video production skills, comfortable with filming, lighting, and editing (experience with tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required, you will be creating content for Chinese-speaking audiences and working with Chinese platforms
- Deep understanding of Chinese social media ecosystems (Rednote, Douyin, WeChat Channels) as well as U.S. platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
- Strong writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a consistent content calendar
- In-person availability Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST
