Join a dynamic music technology startup in San Francisco as a content creator focused on short-form video for Instagram and TikTok. This hybrid role is ideal for early-career creatives passionate about music, internet culture, and social media trends. You will play a key part in shaping the company’s online presence by developing engaging content that resonates with musicians and producers. The position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, with opportunities to contribute creative ideas and see them through to finished posts. You will collaborate with a small team, occasionally work from the SoMa office, and have the chance to appear on camera if comfortable.
Deliverables
- Develop and pitch creative concepts for short-form video content tailored to Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Film product demos, behind-the-scenes footage, and other engaging video content
- Edit videos with attention to pacing, framing, and sound to maximize audience engagement
- Write compelling captions and copy for posts
- Track and incorporate current social media trends relevant to music and internet culture
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and review content performance analytics
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new content ideas and strategies
- Appear on camera for select content, if comfortable
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience creating or editing short-form video content for social platforms
- Strong understanding of pacing, framing, and sound in video editing
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends
- Interest in music production and internet culture
- Knowledge of DAWs such as Ableton or Logic is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-moving startup environment
- Comfortable working in a hybrid role with 1–2 days per week onsite in San Francisco (SoMa)
- Open to current students, recent graduates, and early-career creators
