We specialize in regulatory compliance, accreditation, licensing, performance improvement, risk management, organizational development, and strategic growth.
As our firm continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced proposal professional who can help identify, develop, and submit competitive responses to RFPs, RFQs, RFSQs, and other procurement opportunities across the healthcare sector.
Role Description
MVP Consulting Group is seeking a Part-Time RFP & Proposal Writer to support the development of high-quality, persuasive, and compliant proposals for government agencies, healthcare systems, managed care organizations, and other public and private entities.
This is a remote, part-time position with flexible hours based on proposal volume and deadlines. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and proposal strategist who understands how to translate organizational capabilities, technical expertise, and past performance into compelling responses that score well against solicitation requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFSQs, RFIs, and related procurement opportunities.
- Develop compliant, persuasive proposal narratives aligned with evaluation criteria and scoring methodologies.
- Coordinate with leadership, consultants, and subject-matter experts to obtain technical and organizational information.
- Develop executive summaries, technical approaches, organizational qualifications, staffing plans, past-performance narratives, and other required proposal sections.
- Create compliance matrices, proposal outlines, and submission checklists.
- Edit and strengthen proposal content for clarity, consistency, competitiveness, and responsiveness.
- Maintain and expand a library of reusable proposal content, organizational qualifications, resumes, project descriptions, and past-performance materials.
- Support final proposal assembly, formatting, quality assurance, and submission.
- Track proposal deadlines, submissions, awards, and outcomes.
- Assist with identifying and evaluating RFP opportunities that align with MVP Consulting Group's capabilities and strategic priorities.
Compensation
This position will be compensated on an hourly basis for approved proposal development work.
In addition to hourly compensation, the RFP Writer will be eligible for a performance-based incentive tied to successfully awarded proposals. When MVP Consulting Group is awarded a contract resulting from an RFP or procurement response substantially supported by the RFP Writer, the writer will receive an agreed-upon portion of the award or associated proposal success fee.
Specific incentive percentages, eligibility requirements, payment timing, and any applicable caps will be established in the employment or contractor agreement.
This structure is designed to reward both the quality of the proposal development work and successful outcomes.

- Exceptional business, technical, and persuasive writing skills.
- Ability to interpret complex solicitation requirements and develop responses specifically aligned with evaluation and scoring criteria.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and document-formatting capabilities.
- Experience developing proposal strategies, compliance matrices, outlines, and submission packages.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to collaborate with executives, consultants, subject-matter experts, and project teams while independently managing assigned deliverables.
- Experience with healthcare, behavioral health, government contracting, regulatory compliance, accreditation, or professional consulting services is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration/document-management platforms.
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated history of contributing to successful or awarded proposals is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate can position a firm competitively, tell a compelling story, differentiate capabilities, and develop responses designed to maximize evaluation scores and win contracts.
