Public Regard is an architectural and interior design studio based in Charleston, South Carolina. P.R. is seeking a junior designer with an interiors focus. This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting the development and execution of high-level architectural and interior design projects both in high-end residential and hospitality design. The ideal candidate should bring a strong design sensibility, organizational skills, and be able to contribute across all phases of the design process. Knowledge in AutoCad is required. This is a great opportunity with a balance of creative, technical, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth of our studio and be an integral part of our projects and design imprint in and out of Charleston.
1-2 years of relevant experience.
Architecture or Interior Design degree.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proficiency in Autocad, G-Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Enscape
- Balance several projects or project phases from concept through installation, with guidance from design leads
- Develop and present design concepts, reference imagery, mood boards, and material palettes
- Prepare client presentations
- Create and manage floor plans, elevations, and details using AutoCAD
- Be able to hand sketch and/or 3D model ideas
- Communicate directly with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, and oversee installations
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Assist with procurement, scheduling, and tracking of FF&E
- Some knowledge of millwork, FF&E, vendors
