implementing, and evaluating EHDOC's social media and digital communications strategy. This position will manage the organization's online presence across multiple platforms, increase awareness of EHDOC's mission and impact, strengthen community engagement, support fundraising and donor development initiatives, promote resident programs and events, develop digital marketing campaigns that promote EHDOC communities and available apartment homes to support occupancy goals and reduce vacancies, and drive meaningful traffic to EHDOC's website, property information pages, and online giving platforms.
The Specialist will work closely with the Philanthropy Department, Service Coordinators, Community Managers, Executive Leadership, and external partners to ensure consistent branding, storytelling, and messaging that supports organizational goals and continues growing EHDOC’s social media presence and reach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with EHDOC's mission, fundraising objectives, resident engagement efforts, and organizational priorities.
- Manage EHDOC's social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms as appropriate.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including graphics, photos, videos, reels, stories, resident spotlights, event promotions, donor recognition, educational content, and organizational updates.
- Develop and implement digital marketing and social media campaigns that support property occupancy goals by promoting available apartment homes, waitlists, resident amenities, community events, and the benefits of living at EHDOC communities. Collaborate with Community Managers and Regional Management to assist in attracting qualified applicants and reducing vacancies
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar that supports organizational campaigns, fundraising initiatives, awareness months, property events, resident services activities, and corporate communications.
- Coordinate with Community Managers, Service Coordinators, and Regional Managers to collect stories, photos, videos, testimonials, and program highlights from EHDOC properties nationwide.
- Produce compelling storytelling content that demonstrates EHDOC's impact on seniors, families, communities, donors, and stakeholders.
- Create and evaluate paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ad Grants, social media advertising, and other digital marketing initiatives when applicable.
- Monitor social media channels daily and respond to comments, messages, inquiries, and engagement opportunities in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising and other platforms to optimize reach and ROI.
- Perform keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility across digital channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, vendors, residents, donors, volunteers, and supporters through digital engagement efforts.
- Support organizational fundraising campaigns by creating and promoting content for online giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, special events, donor appeals, sponsorship opportunities, and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy Department to develop content supporting grant opportunities, donor stewardship, corporate partnerships, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising campaigns.
- Track, monitor, and analyze social media performance using platform analytics, Google Analytics, and other reporting tools including following growth across platforms.
- Prepare monthly performance reports that include:
- Reach and impressions
- Engagement rates
- Website traffic generated from social media
- Link clicks and conversions
- Audience growth
- Fundraising campaign performance
- Recommendations for continuous improvement
- Monitor industry trends, nonprofit best practices, social media algorithm changes, and emerging digital communication opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining consistency of EHDOC's brand identity, voice, visual standards, and messaging across all digital channels.
- Coordinate photography and videography efforts for organizational events, resident activities, property celebrations, fundraising campaigns, conferences, and special initiatives.
- Create and edit basic graphic design materials utilizing Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
- Assist with website updates, blog content, digital newsletters, and other online communication efforts as assigned.
- Maintain a digital asset library of photos, videos, graphics, testimonials, and organizational content.
- Submit monthly and quarterly reports outlining performance metrics, campaign results, engagement trends, and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, or communications initiatives.
- Experience working in the nonprofit, healthcare, senior services, affordable housing, or human services sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience growing social media following across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Experience utilizing Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Buffer, Hootsuite, video editing software, social media management platforms, and website content management systems.
- Strong writing, storytelling, editing, and communication skills with the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences.
- Experience interpreting analytics and preparing performance reports that demonstrate measurable outcomes and return on investment.
- Photography, videography, and graphic design experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively with staff across multiple locations.
