Title: Senior Retail Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid)
Duration: ~8 months (09/21/2026 – 05/30/2027)
Pay Range: $44-49/hr. on W2
Job Description:
Support the development of innovative retail environments and consumer-facing brand experiences through architectural, interior, and environmental design. Work closely with Design Directors and cross-functional teams to create original 3D retail concepts, fixture designs, and presentation materials while ensuring all work aligns with brand standards and enhances the overall consumer experience.
This role supports the design and execution of retail environments from concept through presentation and delivery. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented designer with experience in retail, commercial, or branded environments who is comfortable balancing multiple projects while presenting ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
Job Functions:
- Design innovative retail environments, branded spaces, and fixture concepts that elevate the consumer experience.
- Develop original 3D design solutions from concept through presentation using industry-standard design software.
- Produce architectural layouts, space planning concepts, visual presentations, and design documentation.
- Create compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate design vision and project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design continuity across multiple projects.
- Present design concepts, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain organized digital design files, CAD documentation, and asset libraries for team collaboration.
- Research and apply emerging retail, architectural, and environmental design trends to new projects.
- Balance multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work within project timelines.
- Support the execution of retail design initiatives while maintaining consistency with established brand standards.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of architectural, interior, and environmental design principles.
- Advanced proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software.
- Strong understanding of retail environments, space planning, proportion, scale, and consumer-focused design.
- Excellent visual communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting to leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to design excellence.
Experience:
- 8+ years of professional experience in Architectural, Interior, or Environmental Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Interior, or Environmental Design required.
- Experience designing retail environments, commercial interiors, or branded spaces.
- Experience with retail fixture design and consumer-facing environments preferred.
- Experience leading collaborative design projects from concept through execution.
- Previous experience supporting global retail, consumer products, apparel, or footwear brands is preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating retail and environmental design projects is required.
