UX/UI Website Designer — E-Commerce (Shopify) | Freelance/Contract | Remote (US-based)

Babygold.com is a growing e-commerce Fine Jewelry brand looking to elevate our online shopping experience. We're seeking a designer (or design team) to give our Shopify store a tasteful, fresh update — one that reflects our brand and converts browsers into buyers. This is a long-term opportunity: beyond the initial redesign, we're looking for an ongoing design partner.
What We're Looking For We're open to individual designers or small design studios/agencies — especially those who have an in-house or partnered developer who can implement design changes on Shopify. This is important: we want a partner who can take a project from concept through live implementation without a lot of hand-off friction.
The Role
Initial Project:
- Redesign and/or refresh the UX/UI of our Shopify storefront
- Create a clean, modern, on-brand aesthetic suited to e-commerce
- Improve site usability, navigation, and conversion-focused layout
- Optimize for mobile shopping experience
- Collaborate with us on brand direction and product presentation
- Coordinate with a developer (yours or ours) to implement approved designs on Shopify
Ongoing Work (following the initial project):
- Periodic website updates and maintenance
- Banner and promotional graphic design (website, email, social)
- Packaging design initiatives
- Other graphic design needs as they arise
What We're Looking For in You
- Proven experience designing for Shopify e-commerce sites (portfolio required)
- Strong sense of modern, tasteful visual design — not generic templates
- UX thinking: you understand how design impacts conversion, not just how it looks
- Graphic design range beyond web — comfortable with banners, packaging, and promotional materials
- Bonus: you have a developer on your team (or a trusted dev partner) who can build out the designs
- Comfortable working remotely with a US-based team
- Available for ongoing freelance/contract work, not just a single project
