Interior Designer, Luxury Residential
Our client is seeking a Los Angeles-based Interior Designer with luxury residential experience to join the team on an ongoing freelance basis. They are ideally looking for a senior-level designer who can independently run projects from concept through execution, though they are also open to an intermediate-level candidate with strong foundational experience and the potential to grow into a senior role.
This is an hourly contract opportunity expected to average approximately 40 hours per week. Some weeks are busier then others. The engagement is intended to be ongoing rather than tied to a single project. The studio works on high-end residential projects and is looking for someone who is confident operating in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will bring experience working on large-scale luxury residential projects and will be comfortable managing multiple aspects of the design process. They are seeking someone with strong InDesign skills, experience partnering with high-end vendors across furniture, millwork, lighting, and fabrics, and the ability to work effectively in construction-heavy project environments. Strong working knowledge of budgets and schedules is also important, including comfort using Excel or Google Sheets to track project details and timelines.
CAD and 3D experience are considered a plus, but they are not required for the role. More importantly, They are looking for a designer with stylistic versatility, someone who can adapt their design point of view to each client and project rather than applying a single signature aesthetic.
