The Search Stops Here.® Our Dream Job? Finding You Yours.
True Talent Group® (www.truetalentgroup.com) connects top marketing, creative, and digital talent with companies where they can make an immediate impact.
We're searching for a Social Media Specialist to join our healthcare client for a 6+ month ongoing contract engagement based in the Twin Cities. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a social-first marketer who thrives on creating engaging content, building online communities, and bringing a trusted brand to life through authentic storytelling.
THE ROLE
As the Social Media Specialist you'll serve as the voice of the brand across multiple social channels, owning the strategy, content planning, creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance reporting for key social media initiatives.
This isn't a role for someone who simply schedules posts. We're looking for a creative storyteller, strategic thinker, and trend-savvy content creator who understands how to translate complex healthcare topics into engaging, approachable content that educates, inspires, and builds trust. You'll partner closely with marketing, communications, creative, clinical, and business teams to deliver compelling campaigns while remaining agile enough to capitalize on timely moments and emerging trends.
If you enjoy balancing strategy with hands-on execution and know how to create content that people actually want to engage with, we'd love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning
- Develop and execute social media strategies that support brand awareness, engagement, recruitment, service line marketing, community outreach, and business objectives.
- Own and maintain the social media content calendar across all major platforms.
- Partner with internal marketing and communications teams to align social content with integrated campaigns and organizational priorities.
- Identify opportunities to elevate storytelling through new content series, campaigns, and platform innovations.
- Monitor industry trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to continuously improve performance.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create engaging, audience-first content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
- Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content from events, community initiatives, employee stories, patient experiences, and organizational campaigns.
- Write compelling social copy tailored to each platform while maintaining a trusted, compassionate, and approachable brand voice.
- Edit short-form video content using mobile editing tools and Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, photographers, and video teams to produce impactful social-first creative assets.
- Repurpose existing marketing content into engaging social formats.
Community Management
- Serve as the day-to-day voice of the brand across social channels.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and conversations while responding in a timely, professional, and engaging manner.
- Escalate customer service issues or sensitive conversations to the appropriate internal teams.
- Foster authentic engagement with patients, members, employees, and community partners.
Campaign Execution & Optimization
- Support integrated marketing campaigns by developing platform-specific social strategies and content.
- Coordinate paid and organic social efforts alongside digital marketing partners.
- Identify opportunities to leverage trends, timely conversations, and user-generated content where appropriate.
- Continuously test content formats, messaging, posting cadence, and creative approaches to improve engagement.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and report on social media performance using native platform analytics and reporting tools.
- Track engagement, audience growth, video performance, reach, and campaign effectiveness.
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for future content strategies.
- Present regular performance updates and optimization recommendations to marketing leadership.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3-5+ years of professional social media marketing experience, ideally supporting healthcare, consumer brands, nonprofit, or highly regulated industries.
- Proven experience managing multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
- Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, photography, short-form video production, and mobile-first editing.
- Experience using social media management and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or comparable creative applications.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- A passion for storytelling, digital engagement, and creating content that builds meaningful connections.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Creative agency, healthcare, health insurance, hospital, or nonprofit marketing experience.
- Experience supporting employer branding or talent acquisition social campaigns.
- Knowledge of social listening tools and audience insights platforms.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital content.
