Social Media Content Creator (Part-Time | 1099 Independent Contractor)About the Role
GrowGetters Marketing is looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media Content Creator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who loves creating engaging content, staying on top of social media trends, and bringing brands to life through video, photography, and design.
You'll be responsible for producing high-quality content for a variety of client brands, attending on-site content shoots, and supporting our creative team with content production from concept to completion.
This is a part-time 1099 independent contractor position with opportunities for growth as our agency expands.
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly team meetings.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with the owner and team members.
- Create engaging social media content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. *Primarily short-form video*.
- Film and photograph content during on-site client shoots using an iPhone.
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar editing software.
- Design graphics and social media assets using Canva.
- Write engaging captions and assist with content planning.
- Schedule content using Metricool or a similar social media management platform.
- Research industry trends, trending audio, and content ideas to keep client content fresh and relevant.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with each client's brand and marketing goals.
- Stay up-to-date on platform updates, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience creating social media content for businesses (must be under an agency or freelance work, or internship experience accepted).
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video, photography, graphic design, and social media content.
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and current social media trends.
- Experience using:
- Canva
- CapCut
- Metricool (or similar scheduling platform)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable filming and photographing content on-site.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a marketing agency.
- Strong knowledge of paid social media advertising.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred but not required).
