The Role
We’re looking for a Creative Director, Art who brings strong conceptual thinking, exceptional design sensibility, cultural fluency, and collaborative leadership to the team.
This role works closely with writers, strategists, account teams, and creative leadership to develop impactful creative work that aligns with business objectives, resonates with audiences, and elevates the overall quality of our output.
This person will play a key role in shaping visual storytelling across the agency, strengthening new business efforts, and helping drive the next phase of creative growth at our company.
You are comfortable leading projects from concept through execution, mentoring creatives, presenting work to clients, and rolling up your sleeves when needed to make the work stronger.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative development from concept through execution across integrated campaigns, content, social, experiential, and brand initiatives
- Develop breakthrough campaign platforms and visual concepts rooted in audience insight, culture, and strategy
- Partner closely with writers, strategists, and account teams to create cohesive and compelling creative solutions
- Elevate the visual quality, craft, and design thinking across all agency work
- Mentor and develop art directors, designers, and multidisciplinary creatives through thoughtful feedback and collaboration
- Contribute to new business pitches, including concept development, visual storytelling, deck creation, and presentations
- Help elevate the overall creative standard of the agency through strong creative judgment and leadership
- Review and refine creative work across design systems, campaigns, social content, presentations, video, and experiential touchpoints
- Present work confidently to clients and internal stakeholders, clearly articulating creative rationale
- Collaborate with production and project management teams to ensure work is delivered on-brief and on-time
- Stay connected to culture, design trends, emerging technologies, and creative opportunities that inspire stronger work
Qualifications
- 10+ years of agency experience with a strong background in art direction, design, and concept development
- Experience developing and presenting creative ideas for new business pitches
- Experience leading and mentoring creative teams, including performance management and professional development
- Strong ability to lead creative projects from concept through execution in partnership with strategy, account, and production teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop big ideas that scale across channels and touchpoints
- Exceptional visual taste and a portfolio that reflects strong conceptual thinking and craft
- Experience building culturally relevant campaigns and connecting brands to audiences authentically
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling across digital, social, experiential, content, and integrated marketing channels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into compelling creative solutions
- Clear understanding of campaign platforms versus tactical executions
- Deep interest in culture, storytelling, design, and emerging creative trends
