The CBT News social media team is looking for a sharp, plugged-in Social Media Specialist to own creative execution across our key social platforms. This role brings our social strategy to life through content that actually stops the scroll. You'll own day-to-day content creation and calendar management, translating CBT News' editorial voice and visual identity into platform-native content that resonates with the auto retail community.
This is an 100% onsite role, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end social content creation across all channels — concepting, asset organization, design, shooting, editing, and exporting to spec for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
- Champion and protect the CBT News brand voice across organic social, keeping the dealer community at the center of every post
- Stay ahead of platform trends and proactively find ways to insert CBT News into relevant industry and cultural conversations in real time
- Ideate and present creative points of view tied to business priorities, editorial calendars, and partner requests
Qualifications
- 4-year degree minimum
- 2+ years of related social media experience
Experience and Skills
- Proven social content creation experience across multiple platforms
- Deep understanding of social media best practices and professional brand etiquette
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively without hand-holding
- Sharp attention to detail and a gut for what's going to hit
- Familiarity with social platform analytics and what actually defines success

- The ability to absorb a brand's voice fast and translate it into creative that feels native, not forced
- Automotive industry knowledge — or a genuine hunger to get up to speed quickly
- An instinct for trends: not just what's viral, but what's relevant to a B2B audience in auto retail
- Comfortable being on camera
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily Premiere and Photoshop)
- Positive, can-do attitude
