About Chefmaster
Chefmaster is a trusted leader in professional-quality food coloring, decorating gels, and culinary tools — used by professional pastry chefs, bakeries, and home bakers alike. As we grow our brand presence and digital footprint, we're looking for an experienced part-time marketing consultant to provide strategic support and hands-on execution across key marketing initiatives.
Position Overview
This is a flexible, part-time engagement (approximately 20 hours per week) ideal for an experienced marketing professional who thrives in a project-based environment. The consultant will work closely with Chefmaster's leadership team to support brand marketing, digital channels, and content initiatives. This role is well-suited to a seasoned marketer seeking meaningful, flexible work — whether a freelancer, independent consultant, or someone returning to the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Content Marketing
- Support development and execution of marketing campaigns aligned to product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand priorities.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all consumer-facing channels and materials.
- Assist in creating and editing marketing copy for web, email, and social platforms.
Digital & Social Media
- Manage or support Chefmaster's social media presence — content planning, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Help oversee website updates, landing pages, and product content in coordination with internal teams.
- Support digital advertising efforts including campaign setup, monitoring, and basic reporting.
Marketing Operations & Reporting
- Track key marketing metrics and prepare clear, concise performance summaries for leadership.
- Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, or freelancers as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in CPG, consumer brands, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience with digital marketing — social media management, website content, and/or digital advertising.
- Strong written communication skills; able to write clear, on-brand copy with minimal direction.
- Self-starter who can manage their own time, prioritize independently, and deliver without heavy oversight.
- Comfortable working in a smaller, entrepreneurial company environment.
Preferred
- Background in food, baking, culinary, or kitchen products is a meaningful plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Prior consulting or freelance experience — able to quickly get up to speed and add value.
Engagement Details
- Approximately 20 hours per week; schedule is flexible and can be structured around your availability.
- Hybrid arrangement — some in-person time at our Fullerton, CA headquarters may be requested; remote work is otherwise accommodated.
- Compensation commensurate with experience; hourly or project-based rate, paid on a contractor basis.
- Initial engagement of 3–6 months with potential to extend based on mutual fit and business needs.
