Role Description
As an Apparel Fit Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, fit, and execution of our garments. This position involves hands-on collaboration with buyers, design, production teams, and international vendors to bring innovative designs to life while maintaining brand integrity and fit consistency. We're eager to bring on a new team member that can has experience in Women's Ready-to-Wear in all categories across cut & sew, wovens, and knitwear.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with buyers and product development to ensure design details are executed properly in tech packs
- Understand and identify issues with design details and provide recommendations for improvements
- Attend and lead fit sessions using live models, recording comments, and effectively communicating feedback to the team and vendors.
- Guide and monitor the fit process to ensure the "intended fit" is achieved.
- Create and maintain accurate and detailed tech packs with clear fit comments.
- Execute fit comments promptly to keep the fit sample review process aligned with production timelines.
- Cross-examine samples against style tech packs and previous fit samples to verify corrections.
- Maintain a shared database of all fit notes for design and production reference.
- Communicate daily with international vendors to support sourcing strategies and strengthen partnerships.
- Track and monitor execution according to the time-and-action calendar, recording and tracking all sample shipments, fit samples, pre-production (PP) samples, and reference samples.
- Analyze fit, construction, and workmanship issues, providing accurate feedback and necessary corrections to overseas factories.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting fit sessions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fabrics and garment construction.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Design and Product Development.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Google (Slides, Sheets, Docs).
- Expertise in fit analysis, pattern evaluation, garment construction, measuring, and assessing materials, workmanship, functionality, and production feasibility.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to achieve objectives.
