Role Description
This is an unpaid, hybrid Marketing Intern position based in the Greater Philadelphia area. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on real-world marketing campaigns, events, content creation, and brand activations across a variety of industries and clients. While this internship is unpaid, there may be opportunities for paid project-based gigs, event staffing, and additional freelance opportunities based on performance, availability, and client needs.
This role is primarily remote/work-from-home, with required attendance at content shoot days, events, meetings, and occasional on-site activations throughout the Philadelphia region. Interns will work closely with the Maverick MKG team to support marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, event coordination, community outreach, and creative projects while building valuable industry experience and portfolio content.
Qualifications
- Must be located in the Greater Philadelphia area
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in marketing, social media, events, and experiential campaigns
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and the public in professional settings
- Experience or interest in market research, community outreach, and marketing strategy
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Ability to edit short-form and long-form video content for social media and YouTube platforms
- Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms is a plus
- Basic experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, or graphic design tools is preferred
- Positive attitude, creativity, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Media Production, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
