We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands that this isn’t just about content. It’s about building belief and community. At No Makeup Makeup®, social is where our philosophy lives: Less Makeup. More You.
This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, performance and community, translating our founder-led authority and proprietary technology into content that drives awareness, trust, trial and repeat.
What You’ll Own
You will lead the day-to-day execution and evolution of our social ecosystem across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and Facebook (Group) ensuring each platform plays a distinct role in driving growth.
You will:
· Bring our content pillars to life
· Translate founder storytelling into scalable, high-performing content
· Create a consistent drumbeat of education, demonstration and emotional connection
· Partner closely with creative, marketing and e-comm to support key brand campaigns
· Help scale social as a revenue-driving engine, not just a brand channel

1. Platform-Native Expertise (Commerce + Content)
You understand that TikTok is a sales engine, Instagram is a brand world, YouTube educates, and Pinterest drives intent. You know how to create for each—not copy/paste across.
2. Taste Level + Beauty Aesthetic Sensibility
You have a strong point of view on what feels elevated, credible and modern in beauty. You instinctively avoid overdone, overly filtered or trend-chasing content that conflicts with a skin-first, editorial lens.
3. Performance-Driven Mindset
You are fluent in metrics and optimization. You know how to:
· Identify high-performing hooks
· Iterate quickly
· Translate engagement into conversion
4. Deep Alignment with Our Consumer
You understand our audience: Gen X and beyond, discerning, time-starved, and not interested in 10-step routines. You know how to speak to:
· Skin changes (hormones, aging, sensitivity)
· Desire for ease, confidence, and authenticity
· You create content that meets her where she is
5. Storytelling + Content Architecture
You think in series, not one-offs. You can build and maintain repeatable formats that ladder up to a larger narrative:
· Founder authority
· Product education
· Real-life application
· Emotional storytelling
6. Founder & Creator Direction
You’re comfortable directing talent, including founders. You know how to:
· Pull natural, unscripted moments from Founders / Talent
· Shape content that feels human, not overly produced
· Guide creators to deliver brand-aligned content without losing authenticity
7. Speed + Test-and-Learn Agility
You move quickly and are comfortable operating in a high-output, iterative environment. You can confidently concept → shoot → edit → publish without overcomplicating. While this would not be a daily requirement, knowing how to produce content is part of your skillset.
8. UGC & Influencer Integration
You know how to identify, brief and repurpose creators. You understand how to:
· Turn UGC into high-performing paid assets
· Balance relatability with brand elevation
· Support TikTok Shop and affiliate strategies
9. Brand Voice Stewardship
You protect and evolve the No Makeup Makeup® voice and understand how to communicate beauty tech in a human way:
· Confident, not preachy
· Emotional, not overly sales-driven
· Simple, but rooted in innovation
10. Cross-Functional Operator
You collaborate seamlessly across:
· Creative (to maintain visual excellence)
· Marketing (campaign alignment)
· E-comm (conversion + product focus)
· PR/Influencer (amplification moments)
· You understand that social is a central node in the ecosystem, not a silo.
Who You Are / Requirements
· A brand builder, not just a maintainer
· Obsessed with the intersection of beauty, storytelling and commerce
· Excited by the opportunity to scale a founder-led brand with real IP and authority
· Energized by creating content that doesn’t just perform but resonates and converts
· 5+ years managing social media for a beauty, lifestyle or luxury brand
· Experience with luxury beauty brands targeting a 35+ consumer
· Proven track record growing audiences and driving engagement
· Highly organized and self-directed — you manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball
· Experience managing multiple social channels simultaneously
· Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (Later, Sprout Social, or similar)
Nice to Have
· Background with QVC, HSN or LIVE commerce
· Deep passion for color cosmetics and servicing the mature beauty consumer
