Dera Lee Productions is an award-winning experiential marketing agency based in NYC. We specialize in visual storytelling, pulling back the curtain to bring our clients’ ideas to life so that moments big and small get the spotlight they truly deserve. Our journey started with a love of storytelling and curiosity around the human experience. Witnessing genuine connections unfold and exploring the theater of human interaction ignited the spark that became DLP. Our goal is to create that same magic for our clients’ audiences.
At DLP, we believe brands need to create meaningful connections to create lasting experiences — we want you to help brands do amazing, unexpected things, creating experiences that people never forget. Experience creates the connections that lead to loyalty, advocacy, and sales. We ideate and create those things at DLP and do it with wisdom, dedication, strategic thinking, and working together as a collaborative group.
We are looking for team players with a strong work ethic and next-level organizational skills who have the desire and ability to travel at a moment’s notice to produce events throughout the U.S. The work isn’t always glamorous, but there is nothing like the feeling of bringing events to life.
As a Freelance Senior Experiential 3D Designer, you will lead the spatial design on some of our most robust and complex projects. Your extensive experience and strategic mindset will shape the creative direction of each project, foster innovation, and elevate the overall quality of experiential design. You’ll collaborate closely with our production teams and external vendors to bring bold ideas to life.
What you'll be doing

- Actively participate in and help drive the creative ideation process for proposals and sold business
- Lead the development and execution of all 3D design elements on a project — floor plans, mood boards, 3D models, polished renderings, etc. — and confidently recommend the assets needed to clearly articulate the design solution
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Manage and delegate work to other designers with clear, constructive direction to achieve project goals
- Lead site visits and surveys
- Manage sourcing of props, furniture, and decor
- Produce graphics using brand guidelines and prepare files for print
- Create design drawings to execute all custom design elements; interface directly with vendors and conduct shop visits as needed to ensure fabricated elements are built as designed
- Stay actively involved during event installations — providing on-site guidance, directing vendors and crews, and resolving design-related challenges with quick problem-solving
- Present creative work confidently to internal teams and directly to clients during creative reviews; receive and interpret feedback effectively
- Collaborate with production teams and external vendors to evaluate technical feasibility and ensure flawless execution
- Participate in post-event evaluations

- Excellent artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
- Capable of maintaining high standards under pressure and tight deadlines
