We are seeking a seasoned Vice President-level Freelance Writer with deep experience writing for CEOs and executive leadership teams. This role requires a strategic storyteller who can translate complex business, policy, and innovation narratives into compelling long- and short-form content across digital, social, media, and awards platforms.
The ideal candidate has served as a trusted partner to senior leaders — shaping voice, sharpening perspective, and crafting high-impact communications that influence investors, policymakers, employees, and industry stakeholders. This writer must be equally comfortable drafting LinkedIn thought leadership, executive talking points, long-form articles, op-eds/bylines, and strategic messaging frameworks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a strategic writing partner to CEOs and executive leadership team members

Draft long-form thought leadership (op-eds, bylines, blog posts, articles)

Develop short-form digital and social content (LinkedIn posts, executive announcements, internal notes)

Draft executive messaging and talking points for media interviews, panels, and other external engagements

Translate complex business, regulatory, healthcare, or innovation topics into clear, persuasive narratives

Capture and refine executive voice across multiple leaders with distinct styles

Develop message frameworks and narrative arcs aligned with broader corporate strategy

Ensure consistency in tone, positioning, and strategic messaging across channels
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in a communications role, with at least 5+ years of professional writing experience, writing directly for CEOs or C-suite leaders

Demonstrated experience supporting executive visibility programs and leadership platforms

Portfolio including bylines/op-eds, LinkedIn thought leadership, and owned long-form content

Exceptional ability to mirror executive voice and adjust tone for different audiences

Strong editorial judgment and ability to operate independently with minimal oversight

Experience working in fast-paced, high-visibility environments

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in communications, journalism, public policy, or related field preferred
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $130/hr. but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
