Job Description:
The OPS Social Media Liaison will primarily manage and grow the Dial Center's digital and social media presence to advance awareness of its mission, programs, and achievements. This position will report directly to the Dial Center office manager with will work closely and collaboratively with Center leadership, faculty, and students—as well as with CLAS Communications—to develop and implement engaging digital content strategies that reach a diverse audience. This individual may also be asked to serve as a point of contact for visitors and do some light administrative work managing incoming calls, emails, and light copying when the office manager is not present.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow the Dial Center's online presence across Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student groups to highlight courses, events, and achievements.
Partner with CLAS Communications to maintain accurate and engaging website content.
Design and distribute promotional materials such as flyers, infographics, and social media posts.
Develop creative strategies to increase engagement and audience reach.
Respond to messages, comments, and audience inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
Track and analyze engagement metrics to inform future content strategies.
Perform light administrative duties around the Dial Center office, such as greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and making copies, especially when the office manager is not present.
Expected Salary:
The salary is $16 - $18 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with social media platforms and management tools (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn).
- Experience creating digital media using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to measure audience engagement.
