About The Role
At Mystery Box, we don’t just make videos; we unlock the extraordinary. We are looking for a Social Media / Video Content Editor to help manage and scale the Jacob & Katie Schwarz YouTube channel. You won't just be "cutting clips"; you will be an active agent in a strategy designed to double our AdSense revenue, cross the 1-million subscriber mark, and drive high-value B2B licensing leads for our 8K HDR library.
Role Details
- Location: Vineyard, UT (Hybrid/Remote options available for the right talent)
- Type: 6-Week Intensive Trial Contract (Limited time, not full-time or lifelong)
- Pay: $25/hr for 20 hours a week - 6-week contract (Project-based)
- Potential: Successful completion and meeting metrics may lead to additional contracts or part-time/full-time opportunities, but this initial role is strictly limited term.
Responsibilities
- Discovery Architecture: Re-edit our legendary 8K library into high-frequency YouTube Shorts/Reels designed for Nature lovers, and Tech centric "Visual Stress Tests" and hardware validation.
- Revenue Optimization: Audit and optimize metadata/SEO to achieve AdSense goals.
- B2B Lead Generation: Format content to attract direct licensing deals.
- The "Ecosystem" Pivot: After a successful trial mastering the J&K channel, you may begin drafting marketing materials for Enigma 3 (Gear/Studio) and Paradox Post (Post-production) to capture high-tech B2B leads. This area of responsibility expansion will give more creative and operational flexibility in execution.
- Independence: We operate with a "self starter, figure things out" mentality. You will be expected to find answers in our SOPs and operate with near-total autonomy after a short period of guided learning and "fit assurance".
Qualifications
- Technical Literacy: You understand the weight and value of 4k-8K HDR footage. You know how to export for maximum quality without breaking the algorithm.
- Platform Mastery: You understand YouTube’s ecosystem and how to drive long-form watch time with "Loop" content.
- The Aesthetic: You can create "Visual Wonder" without relying on flashy, cheap editing tropes. You value the frame over the fad.
- Independence: You are proactive, detail-oriented, and don't need a storyboard to find the "magic" in raw clips.
Metrics of Success
What Success Looks Like in 6 Weeks:
- Publishing with a consistent cadence of Shorts/Reels from our 8K library
- Videos demonstrate strong retention (looping, pacing, framing)
- Improve metadata/SEO for select uploads
- Delivery of a 3 week and 6 week short recap of what formats performed best and why
