Job Description
Our client, a growing creative agency has an immediate need for Freelance Senior Art Director. This engagement will initially run 2–4 weeks (with the potential to extend) and is focused on high-visibility, campaign-style deliverables for print and digital.
This is a fully remote opportunity (40 hours a week). Must be US based.
What You’ll Do
- Design and refine art that will be translated into:
- Standard print publications
- Digital banner ads
- Additional digital placements (e.g., OLV, social, web as needed)
- Work within an existing visual framework and campaign system—this is not a ground-up brand build.
- Extend and adapt current campaign assets and art into new formats while maintaining brand consistency and creative integrity.
- Collaborate day-to-day with a Creative Director, another Art Director, and a Copywriter to rapidly concept, iterate, and finalize work.
- Balance speed and craft: move quickly under tight timelines without sacrificing polish or strategic alignment.
- Prepare production-ready files and ensure all assets meet specifications for print and digital channels.
What We’re Looking For
- Availability: Able to start ASAP and commit for at least 2–4 weeks.
- Level: Senior Art Director with a strong executional background and refined design taste.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated success working within established brand and campaign systems.
- Previous work on high-visibility, public-sector, cause-based, or large-scale campaign initiatives.
- Strong portfolio of key art, print, and digital/banner executions.
- Skills:
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; After Effects a plus).
- Excellent visual storytelling, layout, typography, and compositional skills.
- Comfort working quickly, iterating in real time, and responding to feedback with solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills in a cross-functional creative team.
