We are hiring a Freelance 3D Materials Designer. This is a fully remote position, preferably someone in the Eastern Standard Time zone. The role is responsible for executing materials digitization strategy. Hands-on digital materials creation using the latest tools and technology including… Browzwear, Substance, Keyshot, Gen Ai and Automations.
- Hourly pay rate: $30-35 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create, repeatable patterns, texture maps, shaders, drape and package 3D seasonal materials.
- Properly categorize fabrics, generate records and QA of existing digital materials and color.
- Communicate with Global Suppliers for material creation to ensure standards are being met.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support digital samples quality assurance.\Research new approaches and tools to improve the existing process such as automation and AI tools.
- ADHOC projects
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge or experience of 3D texture creation, 3D rendering:
- Experience using 3D modeling and rendering software (Browzwear, Keyshot, Substance)
- Experience creating 3D texture maps and repeatable patterns (Photoshop, Substance, Vizoo-xTex)
- Experience with a flatbed material scanners, material drape parameters.
- Excellent visual and aesthetic creativity. An eye for photography is desired.
- Basic knowledge of apparel materials
