Position Title Administrative & Marketing Student Assistant Department Alumni Relations Appointment Term Spring (January - May) FLSA Non-Exempt Job Summary
The MoWest Alumni Relations Office is seeking a motivated, organized, and creative Administrative & Marketing Assistant to support both our daily office operations and our communications efforts. This work opportunity offers hands-on experience in administrative work, event support, and marketing within an Advancement/Alumni Relations environment. You’ll help handle administrative tasks, manage social media content, assist with events, and support projects that directly impact alumni engagement. This position will offer a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties

Required Qualifications
- MWSU Student
- Degree Seeking
- At least an overall 2.0 GPA
- Enrolled at least part-time
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be able to work 10–12 hours per week, with some evening/weekend event availability preferred.
- Experience with design/editing tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, or administrative work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Customer service capabilities with a positive attitude
- Comfortable interacting with alumni, visitors, and volunteers
Physical Demands Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
